Thank you for your interest in our Picks Rewards program. The following are some answers to common questions we receive about Picks.

HOW DO I ADD A PICK AND GET PAID?

Go to the location that the Pick describes in the hovertext. Be sure you are on the correct parcel! Use the main menu at the top of your screen and select:  Edit->Profile  then  Picks->New and select OK

Make sure your profile is also set to "Show in Search" by checking the box.

You MUST have Payment Info On File or Used with Second Life to get paid for Picks on Solace Beach.

Wear your Solace Beachcombers group tag.

Click the sign and follow any instructions it gives.

Get paid. Woohoo!

I DID EVERYTHING YOU SAID BUT I DIDN'T GET PAID. WHY NOT?

If you've recently added payment info, it can take SL up to a week for that info to fully register in the database. Keep trying!

Make sure you've checked the "Show my profile in search" box on your profile. Sometimes this takes a while to register, too.

Be sure you've added the correct Pick, and not, say, the path nearby.

I GOT A WARNING ABOUT REMOVING PICKS. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

If you remove a location you've been paid for from your Profile Picks within the payment period, or try to cheat by removing the picks entry and adding it back later, the system will know. You may be banned from using any picks reward system on the grid. Don't do it! If you want to change a Pick, you'll need to wait until the end of the payment period, then remove the Pick and add a new one.

CAN I GET A LIST OF LANDMARKS TO ALL YOUR PICKS?

No, that would defeat the purpose of you exploring the continent and seeing everything we have here. Solace Beach is a community, not a cash register.

CAN I DO SOME PICKS DAILY AND SOME MONTHLY?

Yes, you can do a mix of both. Keep in mind that we have more than 10 Picks, and you have only 10 Picks slots, so you'll want to come up with a Pick strategy. Choose the locations you like best, or those that pay best, or those don't have too many people competing for them. It's up to you!

I KEEP TRYING TO GET PAID BUT IT SAYS IT HAS PAID ITS DAILY MAX. WHAT TIME DOES THE SYSTEM RESET?

Each board resets every 24 hours; the time varies by Pick. To be honest, we're not sure when it occurs exactly for each one. Try coming by at different times; you'll get paid eventually! Picks here are a game of strategy and timing, not just a way to get free money.

THE PICK BOARD SEEMS TO BE BROKEN. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Please inform a staff member by IM. We definitely want to know when there are problems! However, please DON'T pester us or ask repeatedly when it will be fixed. This is a huge continent with many projects going on at one time; Picks are not our top priority. We are happy to help when we can, but please understand that renters and customers, as well as newbies seeking non-monetary assistance, take precedence. We recommend that you buy L$ through Second Life and use Picks as a fun supplement, rather than depending upon it as your main source of income.
